About Me
Dear Harlem neighbor,
Some of you know me personally; others know of me as The Free Notary, Harlem.
Be as it may, my name is Angel Cruz.
I live and work in Harlem.
Born and raised in Harlem, I have personally witnessed Harlem's drastic change, that some have come to welcome with open arms, while others rebuff with bitter despair.
I often recall what growing up in Harlem meant: blasting water hydrants with hollowed-out Goya juice cans on hot summer days; and sitting out in the front-of-the-building spending time with friends and neighbors.
Good old times. Man they were good!
Even when yellow cabs wouldn’t come north of 96th Street and the local police only responded to disturbances when the coroner was called in.
That was then. This is now.
For these reasons and more I feel privileged to be of service to very community I’ve called my home for over thirty five years.
In short, it humbles me to know, however small a contribution this notary service may be, that you think of me whenever you need a stamp and notary.
